Logan Square may be the hot, “new” neighborhood for trendy restaurants and modern renovations, but it’s also a historic part of the city with a rich cultural and architectural history. So the folks over at DNAinfo have done a great service in putting together a collection of photos of Logan Square, then and now. You can even use the sliders to transition back and forth from the past to the present.
According to DNAinfo, “Many of the historic photos… were collected through the efforts of Logan Square Preservation, the Northwest Side Historical Society, the Chicago Transit Authority and other online collections. In many cases the original photographer or collector is unknown.”
But what an amazing treasure trove they provide.
