The Apostal Group day of service: supporting Cradles to Crayons for KW Red Day Niko Apostal 05/15/18

Here at The Apostal Group, we believe in giving back to our community in ways both big and small. It’s one of the reasons we were so thrilled to help open the Keller Williams-Chicago Lincoln Park office! Every year, Keller Williams sponsors KW Red Day. What is Red Day? According to the Keller Williams website,

Each year on the second Thursday of May, we celebrate RED Day as a part of our legacy worth leaving. Making a difference in the lives of others and bettering the communities that we serve lies at the heart of the Keller Williams culture. This observance defines who we are and is a natural extension of our commitment to the highest level of professional customer service. Over time, a growing number of our family members and friends continue to participate in this extraordinary event. It embodies the generous spirit and commitment associates have to “giving back” to the cities and towns they live and work in.

This year, the Keller Williams-Chicago Lincoln Park office partnered with incredible nonprofit Cradles to Crayons, which has a goal that is second-to-none: to make life better for children in need. They accomplish this through a 3-step model: collecting new and nearly new children’s items to distribute, processing and packaging them in their own warehouse (The Giving Factory) and then distributing the packages to local disadvantaged kids.

Last week, scores of agents from the Keller Williams-Chicago Lincoln Park office, including several members of The Apostal Group, spent a day in Cradles to Crayons warehouse — The Giving Factory — helping to sort and package donations to go to kids in need via the organization’s network of hospitals, homeless shelters and schools. They also made cards to send in the packages to let the kids know that the entire office was on their side.

It was a powerful and uplifting experience. According to Principal Broker Niko Apostal, “It’s one of the many things that fill me with pride about where I work, who I work with and what’s possible when a group of like-minded individuals with a mindset of abundance get together to drive positive change in our world.”

As part of KW Red Day, the Keller Williams-Chicago Lincoln Park office also donated $7,500 to Cradles to Crayons to help them continue their amazing mission.
